Toronto Star Public Opinion Study on Dispute between Ontario Teachers and Ontario government
This study was conducted between February 6th to 9th, 2020 using online surveys with 1536 eligible voters in Ontario.
Accuracy of results
The study includes pre-qualified respondents from Maru-Blue online panel. We focus on collecting data by region. Ontario is divided into 8 distinct regions with age/gender demographics that are specific to each region (Statistics Canada). The study was designed to collect 1000 samples evenly across Ontario which would include 210 samples from the City of Toronto. In addition to those 1000 samples, another 541 samples were collected from the City of Toronto and that over-sample is weighted down to reflect the proper distribution across Ontario.
We have a very high confidence that the aggregate results of n=1536 are representative of the voting population and have a margin of error of +/- 2.5%, 19 times out of 20.
Notes:
The survey, data collected and analysis will be released by The Toronto Star during the week of February 10th, 2020. Campaign Research will release a Slide Presentation each day corresponding with the information being released by The Toronto Star. At the end of the week, all Slide Presentations will be combined with Data Tables and published in full at www.campaignresearch.ca.
